Flyout to Newark Air Museum

Visited by a group of aircraft from White Waltham in August 2002.

The museum is located on the Newark showground, an old WW2 bomber base named Winthorpe.  The Newark and Notts gliding club use the airstrip and it is possible to fly in by arrangement.

A number of ex-military and light aircraft have been brought together in what is probably the largest private museum in the UK.  Many of the aircraft on show including this Vulcan made their final flights to Winthorpe to take up their positions as exhibits.

More details of the museum can be found via "Links".
