Departing on a trip from White Waltham airfield near Maidenhead. The long low building is the club room which dates back to the years when the airfield was used by the Air Transport Auxillary during WW2. It still retains the character but today houses the flying club operations, training rooms, offices and bar.
The local air ambulance is based at White Waltham and many club social activities are directed towards fund raising for this worthy cause. Each year we help to bring model flying and full size aviation together for one such event, the annual Members Day. More details of West London Aero Club can be found via "Links". |
